ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
SERGEI ISUPOV: Head to Tail | Animal Construction Workshop
Overview
This workshop will cover the process of sculpting 6×6” animal figures. Students will prepare multiple works to allow for dynamic form variation and dramatic firing results. Sergei will present a series of demos focusing on specific parts and used to build character in figural construction – eyes, ears, lips, hands, fingers and toes. After the workshop, works will be bisque fired for participants to finish at a later date in one of the Project Art programs or in their own studios.
Students are encouraged to register for the RAKU Firing Event at Project Art the following weekend, September 20, 2025, where they may glaze their pieces before firing.
Open to participants age 18 and above, to students of all levels of experience.
Limited to 18 participants.
Tuition and Payment
Tuition for the workshop is $200 per person
Deposits and tuition will be accepted via Venmo (@Sergei-Isupov) or Check (paid to Sergei Isupov, 54 Main Street Cummington, MA 01026).
Tools & Materials
Materials and bisque firing are included in the workshop.
